Hover over the body dimension text for tips on how to take that measurement. In
general, results are most accurate when you take them while your child is dressed
in tight-fitting garments, such as their underwear. If you don't have a measuring
tape, you can use a piece of string and then measure the distance with a straight
ruler.
Measuring Height: Measure your child’s height
from the floor (without shoes) to the top of their head.
Measuring Head Circumference: Measure head
circumference just above your child’s ears.
Measuring Chest: Have your child stand up
straight and lift their arms slightly. Wrap measuring tape under your child’s armpits
around the fullest part of their chest, bringing your tape together at the front.
Measuring Waist: Measure waist circumference
around your child’s natural waistline (approximately 2" above the hip bone).
Measuring Hip: Have your child stand with
their heels together and measure around the fullest part of their hips.
Measuring Sleeve Length: Find your child’s sleeve
length by measuring from the middle of the back of their neck, across the shoulder, and
down their arm to the wrist.
Measuring Inseam: Have your child stand up
straight with legs slightly apart. Measure from just below the crotch to the bottom
of their ankle.
